Singapore Philatelic Museum (SPM) is the custodian and curator of collections of Singapore’s philatelic materials. It houses local stamps and archival philatelic material from the 1830s to the present day, as well as stamps from member countries of the Universal Postal Union.
For SPM’s More Than Monkeys exhibition – commissioned to coincide with the Chinese Year of the Monkey – our approach took into consideration the target audience: children. Thus, we chose not to use real photos of primates. Instead, we created fun and engaging illustrations that the kids would find endearing and educational.
This year, we adopted a similarly engaging style to conceptualise SPM’s Chicken & Egg: A Fowl Tale exhibition – in line with the Year of the Rooster.
