Singapore’s flagship programme for the genomic sciences, GIS is located in Biopolis, as part of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR).

The publication’s key visual was inspired by the gene sequencing work done at GIS, and used Marsala, the pantone colour of 2015. Our challenge lay in creating scientific content that people could identify and empathise with – much of this content pertained to advanced genomics. We interviewed over 27 people of GIS, and used their stories as a relatable way to convey the complex topics.
